Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut, known for being vocal on social media and sharing her honest takes on a range of topics, recently turned to Instagram to express her admiration for veteran actress Karisma Kapoor. She posted a rare throwback picture of herself, revealing that Karisma Kapoor, fondly called Lolo, had been a major influence on her childhood fashion choices.
Kangana Ranaut shares throwback picture with heartfelt note
The actress recently used her Instagram stories to post a childhood picture of herself, using the moment to lavish praise on Karisma. The throwback photo shows a young Kangana dressed in black dungarees and a yellow T-shirt, with a sweatshirt tied loosely around her waist. She accompanied the picture with a warm note, calling Karisma the “original fashionista.” She wrote, “Who all worshipped original fashionista @therealkarismakapoor in the 90’s ha ha! I definitely did.” The post also featured Karisma’s song ‘Le Gayi’ from ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’. So far, Karisma has not responded to Kangana’s praise.

Kangana Ranaut also celebrates Gen Alpha
Alongside this, Kangana also posted content celebrating Gen Alpha, saying she considers herself part of that generation. On her Stories, she shared a reel showing a girl mimicking a Gen Z “influencer” while promoting eating lettuce, with the caption, “Gen Alpha roasting Gen Z is pure gold.” Along with the video, Kangana wrote, “It is official I identify as Gen Alpha. Gen Alpha is like come to the point, no nonsense detected.” She followed it up with another clip of a young child dressed as a soldier, writing, “Gen Alpha is bleeding tricolour.”
Kangana Ranaut’s last film release
On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’, directed by Manoj Tapadia. The film chronicles the real-life story of the nurses and staff at Cama Hospital who helped save lives during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, it failed to leave much of a mark at the box office. Following a sluggish theatrical run, the film premiered on OTT on August 14.
