The first offline counselling session at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is expected to take place on June 18, 2026, at the university’s Dwarka campus. Eligible candidates who have qualified the entrance examination will be able to participate in the counselling process, where document verification and seat allotment will be carried out on the same day.University authorities have stated that candidates appearing for counselling will first undergo verification of their academic and admission-related documents. Once the verification process is completed, seats in the M.Ed programme (Code 120) will be allotted according to candidates’ ranks and merit positions.The university will display the availability of seats on the day of counselling itself, enabling candidates to assess their admission prospects before the allotment process begins.
Candidates must carry prescribed fee and essential documents
Officials have advised candidates to report with all mandatory documents to avoid any disruption in the admission process. Applicants are required to bring a bank draft of Rs 96,000 drawn in favour of the University Registrar.In addition, candidates must carry four passport-size photographs, the CET admit card, rank card, the completed online application form, date of birth certificate and other relevant certificates required for admission verification. Any discrepancy or absence of required documents may affect a candidate’s eligibility for seat allotment.
Withdrawal facility available till June 25
The university has also announced that candidates who are allotted seats through this counselling round will have the option to withdraw their admission. As per the schedule, allotted seats can be surrendered until June 25.The withdrawal window is expected to provide flexibility to candidates who may secure admission elsewhere or wish to reconsider their academic choices after allotment.
University requests aspirants to refer to websites
In view of the counselling schedule, the university has advised aspiring students to refer to its admission portal and follow instructions before coming to the college premises.Aspiring candidates desirous of participating in the counselling exercise are requested to visit the university website on a regular basis to get information on the admission process and counselling. The counselling scheduled on 18th June would determine the fate of M.Ed course admission in the present academic year.
