Rapper Badshah and Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi have confirmed that they are going their separate ways, bringing weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship to an end. The couple announced their divorce through matching statements shared on their respective Instagram Stories on Monday night.In his statement, Badshah said the decision was mutual and asked fans and the media to respect their privacy.“I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time.“This will be our only statement on the matter. We sincerely request that there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship,” Badshah wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Rumours about trouble in their relationship had begun circulating on social media in July. Around the same time, Isha shared a montage of photographs and videos featuring moments with Badshah, accompanied by a cryptic caption.“Every storm is a lesson. Every prayer is hope,” she wrote, adding a heartbreak emoji and a folded-hands emoji. The post quickly prompted speculation among social media users about whether the couple was facing difficulties in their relationship.The speculation intensified when Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, subsequently shared a series of posts centred on karma.Isha had previously spoken about her marriage to Badshah during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session in June, confirming their relationship to her followers.The couple’s divorce announcement has also arrived amid reports that Isha could potentially participate in Bigg Boss 20, the upcoming season of the reality show set to be hosted by Salman Khan.For Badshah, this is his second marriage to end in divorce. He was previously married to Jasmine Masih, with whom he shares a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. The former couple separated before finalising their divorce in 2020.
