SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ franchise remains a landmark film in the Indian cinema industry. Recently the makers dropped the documentary ‘Baahubali: The Torchbearer,’ which gives fans a look into the film’s making. Interestingly, there is a buzz regarding the film’s much awaited third part as a clip from the show including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty appears to hint that another film in the popular franchise could happen in the future.In the viral clip, Rana says, “The world may not be ready yet, but there will be Baahubali…” As soon as he says this, Prabhas smiles and raises three fingers. The moment makes everyone on the couch laugh, including Anushka Shetty. The clip ends with the words, “And the legacy continues!”Watch the clip The video quickly spread across social media, with many fans treating it as confirmation that ‘Baahubali 3’ is finally on the way. However, there has been no official announcement from the makers so far.

Fans believe part 3 is coming

An internet user sharing the clip on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “The wait is over! Baahubali 3 is OFFICIALLY confirmed by Rana Daggubati.” Another user added, “There is no doubt that Baahubali changed the face of Indian cinema forever. It set new standards in storytelling, scale, visuals, and box office success. Now, with Baahubali 3, expectations are bigger than ever.”

‘Baahubali: The Torchbearer’ premiered on Netflix on June 26. The four-episode documentary shows how the films were made and how they became a global success. It includes behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with the cast and unseen moments from the sets.

About ‘Baahubali’

Directed by SS Rajamouli, the Baahubali films starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Nasser in lead roles. Released in 2015 and 2017, the two films became one of the biggest franchises in Indian cinema and made Prabhas a pan-India star.Last year, as part of the franchise’s 10-year celebrations, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ which is a remastered version that combined both films into one and was released in theatres on October 31, 2025. It was later released on OTT.
