The wait for lakhs of engineering aspirants is about to end as IIT Roorkee will declare the JEE Advanced 2026 results on June 1 at 10 am.Candidates who appeared for the examination on May 17 will be able to download their scorecards from the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The result will determine eligibility for admission to IITs and will also pave the way for the JoSAA counselling process, through which seats are allotted across participating institutes. The national-level entrance examination is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and other undergraduate programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

How to check JEE Advanced 2026 result

Candidates can access their scorecards by logging in with their JEE Advanced 2026 registration number or roll number, date of birth and the mobile number used during registration.

  • To download the result, candidates should visit the official website
  • Click on the JEE Advanced result link
  • Enter the required credentials and submit the details.

The scorecard will then be displayed on the screen.The JEE Advanced 2026 scorecard will include subject-wise marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2, total marks secured, qualifying status and rank details.Candidates will also be able to check their position in the Common Rank List (CRL) as well as their respective category rank lists. IIT Roorkee is expected to announce the names of the top 10 All India Rank holders along with the results.

JoSAA counselling to begin after results

Candidates who qualify in JEE Advanced 2026 will have to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admission to IITs.JoSAA 2026 counselling will be conducted in six rounds. During the process, candidates will be required to fill in their preferred institutes and courses online. Seat allotment will depend on JEE Advanced rank, category and seat availability.The counselling process will cover admissions to IITs, while NITs, IIITs, IIEST and other Government Funded Technical Institutes will continue to use JEE Main 2026 ranks for admissions.Which institutes accept JEE Advanced scores?JEE Advanced scores are accepted by all IITs, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT (BHU) Varanasi and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, among others.Admission to these institutes will be based on candidates’ ranks, category-wise cut-offs and seat availability during counselling.

AAT 2026 registration for BArch admissions

Candidates seeking admission to BArch programmes offered by IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee will also need to qualify the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026.AAT registration will open on June 1 and continue till June 2. The examination is scheduled for June 4, while results will be declared on June 7.Unlike JEE Advanced, AAT does not have a separate ranking system. Candidates only need to qualify the examination to be considered for BArch admissions.

Eligibility for IIT admission

Apart from securing a qualifying rank in JEE Advanced, candidates must also satisfy Class 12 eligibility conditions for admission to IITs.General category candidates are required to secure at least 75 per cent marks in Class 12 or be within the top 20 percentile of their respective board examinations. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the minimum required marks are 65 per cent.Candidates are advised to keep checking the official JEE Advanced website for updates regarding counselling schedules, seat allocation rounds and institute-wise cut-offs.
