She revealed that she had just started following in the footsteps of her parents, HH and JJ, into the film industry. After returning from the US when she was barely an adult, Pancholi and Bedi met for the first time while he was still married to Zarina Wahab. Describing their relationship during the interview, the actress said, “It was very much an experience. Let’s just put it that way.”She further opened up about how, over the years, even after they broke up, questions about their relationship often come up. After the commitment is made, all you are really doing is signing a piece of paper and getting the government involved in your love life.” Bedi also revealed that her parents’ separation set an example for her, as they had a smooth-running relationship and were always clear about what they wanted. The businesswoman was earlier married to Farhan Furniturewala from 1994 to 2003, and they currently share two children, Alaya F and Omar.
