Demi Lovato quite literally started with a blank slate when she purchased her first real estate property in 2020. The stunning farmhouse estate, located in Studio City, Los Angeles, is one of the most lavish properties in the area and had only recently been built when the homes in the area went up for sale. The singer jumped at the chance, and while at the time things may have been harder than others, she ended up managing to create a stunning place to fit to her liking.

The 8,500-square-foot farmhouse estate had been freshly built in the quiet neighborhood of San Fernando Valley and was a brand new start for the singer. Since it was a newly built space at the time, not much personalized work was done on the residence, which ended up working out perfectly for Lovato. She worked with Kat Bell and James Drew of Argyle Design to transform the space into a maximalist and colorful residence that matched her energy and liking. She also did an ‘Open Door’ tour with Architectural Digest to show off her home and how she has been making the building her own.

Featuring 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, some of the key exterior features of the property included a saltwater pool, a private spa, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, a built-in dog area (for pets Batman and Cinderella), and a pull-down outdoor projector screen visible from the pool or hot tub.The property also has ample space for parking vehicles since the space also features a short gated driveway that is situated right before the two-car garage, along with a longer gated driveway that directly leads to a second garage, which is subterranean with room for up to four luxury vehicles.

More about the interiors of Demi Lovato’s USD 7 million LA home

As for the interiors, the entryway is more minimalist and calm in order to balance the rest of the house’s maximalist concept and does not have much decor or color. However, the remainder of the house is a perfect embodiment of Lovato. The singer has an artwork, Untitled RL032, in her home by artist Ko Kirk Yamahira, along with an Ekstrem chair, an Italia travertine table, a black Alvar Aalto stool, and an Ettore doorstop by Magis. There are also mirrored elevator cabs designed to resemble a futuristic spaceship. While the living room features a branded and eccentric sofa and lounge chairs, one of the most eye-catching features of the room is the Zebra onyx crystal lamps, along with the Scraplights by Graypants, a leather pig sculpture, and a fireplace, all of which add some personality to the living space.

Lovato has her own ‘shroom room’ as well, which is essentially a space where she rests and relaxes and works on her projects. Featuring artworks and lighting from multiple artists, the room also has a custom modular sofa inspired by Hans Hopfer’s Mahjong sofa for Roche Bobois, alongside tongue-shaped chairs and mushroom-shaped stools. It also has silver walls, glimmering curtains, butt-shaped vases, and anatomical salt/pepper shakers.Lastly, she also had a pool house with the main residence when she bought the property. However, instead of using it as is, Lovato completely converted it into her own home studio. This is where the singer recorded the entirety of her album, ‘Holy Fvck.’ The room is inspired by the 1960s vintage theme and has an old and classic Italian chandelier, iridescent Murano glass discs, an upholstered stool, and a quirky rug.Lovato and Canadian musician and songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes spend their time here. The two tied the knot on May 25, 2025, at the Bellosguardo Estate in Santa Barbara, California. When she bought the home, she had been engaged to Max Ehrich.DISCLAIMER: Figures presented in this article are derived from various public sources and are considered approximate unless explicitly noted.
