UPSSSC announces application schedule for 115 posts under UP Pollution Control Board combined cadre examination

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has issued Advertisement No. 02-Examination/2026 inviting online applications for the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (Combined Cadre) Main Examination (Principal Assistant/Administrator)-2025. The notification concerns recruitment for several posts under the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board.According to the commission, a total of 115 vacancies across different posts will be filled through the recruitment process. Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and received a score issued by the commission are eligible to apply for the main examination.Application schedule and submission processThe advertisement was published on March 11, 2026. Online applications and fee submissions will begin on April 2, 2026. The last date for submission of the online application form and payment of fees is April 22, 2026.Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms and adjust the deposited fees until April 29, 2026. The commission stated that applications will be accepted only through the online application system available on the official website upsssc.gov.in. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be considered.Important dates

The commission also noted that application fees will not be accepted after April 22, 2026. Candidates will be able to print their application forms only after the deposited fee is adjusted by the bank. The fee must therefore be remitted by April 22, 2026, or within seven days thereafter, up to April 29, 2026.Eligibility conditions and PET score requirementThe recruitment is open to citizens of India who possess the required qualifications for the respective posts and have appeared in PET-2025. Shortlisting for the main examination will be carried out on the basis of merit determined through the normalised scores obtained in PET-2025.Candidates who have secured zero marks or negative marks in either their absolute score or normalised score in the preliminary eligibility examination will not be shortlisted for the main examination.The commission stated that candidates whose PET-2025 results are marked as Under Investigation (UI) or Provisional may apply for the main examination provisionally. Their eligibility for shortlisting and final selection will remain subject to the outcome of the commission’s investigation.Vacancies and qualificationsThe vacancies include 10 posts of Scientific Assistant and five Scientific Assistant posts under special selection. Twenty-two positions are available for Accountant or Auditor, while four posts are designated for Law Assistant.Other vacancies include two Laboratory Assistant posts and 35 Monitoring Assistant posts requiring Intermediate (10+2) with Science. The recruitment also includes eight Junior Engineer posts under special selection and 29 Junior Engineer posts requiring diplomas in Public Health Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.The selection process includes shortlisting based on PET-2025 scores, followed by a written examination, document verification, and a medical examination. The date of the written examination will be announced later.
