Indigo Flight Status Today Live Updates: Amid nationwide flight disruptions, India’s largest domestic carrier IndiGo has cancelled over 400 flights from four major airports on Saturday, news agency PTI reported. The airports are that of Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad. This comes a day after the airlines managed to temporarily secure major relaxations in the second phase of the court-mandated new flight duty and rest period norms for the cockpit crew. Earlier, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the Central Government is fully alert to the woes of air passengers and is in constant consultation with all stakeholders.

High-level probe ordered: Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has warned that an inquiry has been launched into the IndiGo flights fiasco and those responsible will “pay for it”. Naidu also said authorities are prioritising bringing back normalcy to civil aviation services and that the Centre is observing the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms that triggered the Indigo flight cancellation spree. The government has kept the orders in abeyance.

Passengers stranded: The slew of flight cancellations has led to thousands of passengers being stranded at airports and facing long waits. Adding to the woes of passengers, flight charges have also skyrocketed. The only MumbaiDelhi flight available for Friday (December 5) was quoting a fare of Rs 51,860 per passenger, while the sole Delhi-Mumbai flight was showing seat availability at Rs 48,972. So far, among the major airports in the country, Delhi’s IGIA has issued a statement saying IndiGo operations are gradually returning to normal.

Chennai Airport witnessed major disruptions on Saturday as a total of 48 flights scheduled to operate till tonight were cancelled, affecting passengers travelling to key domestic destinations, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Andaman, Lucknow, Pune, and Guwahati, news agency ANI reported.

This adds to the list of over 400 IndiGo flights cancelled from airports in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad.

Earlier, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) released a list of 42 IndiGo flights cancelled at Pune Airport.

Amid nationwide flight disruptions, IndiGo has cancelled over 400 flights from four major airports on Saturday, news agency PTI reported.Bengaluru airport faced 124 flight cancellations (63 departures and 61 arrivals).Mumbai airport faced 109 cancellations (51 departures and 58 arrivals).Delhi airport stood at 106 (54 departures and 52 arrivals).Hyderabad airport witnessed 66 flight cancellations.

IndiGo Flights Cancellation LIVE Updates: Two international flights receive bomb threat email at Hyderabad airport

Amid disruptions in IndiGo operations nationwide, two international flights at Hyderabad airport received a bomb threat via email sent to the airport’s customer support ID, news agency ANI reported.

According to Hyderabad Airport GMR, British Airways flight 277 and Kuwait Airways flight 373 received the bomb threat.

The BA 277 flight travelling from Heathrow to Hyderabad landed safely at 5:25 AM. Following the landing, standard safety protocols were initiated. However, KU 373, travelling from Kuwait to Hyderabad, returned to its departure airport, Hyderabad Airport, GMR said.
