In a report published by People, it was revealed that Lively had repeatedly called Justin Baldoni names while she was talking about him to Colleen Hoover via texts. It was shared that the actress called Baldoni a “rabid pig” in the texts that were sent to the author. The text messages, amongst many others, were made public ahead of the first hearing in the case. The hearing has been scheduled for January 2022.
More about the text messages that Blake Lively sent
The text messages took place in July 2024 when she was expressing her frustrations about Baldoni. Her text had read, “Despite his repeated disturbing behavior and acts, I still feel bad for him. To be reminded multiple times DAILY that he’s smearing me for … asking him not to sexually or emotionally harass me? For making his movie better? For calling in all the favors to turn out all the biggest musicians and entertainers to contribute to making his movie better? For leading a marketing campaign for free?”The messages further talked about how Baldoni does not have anything “smear her on” and how he should be writing her an apology letter. “Instead, he chooses to make a monster outta me … but what’s my crime. I’ve only ever stayed focused on the work and given him EVERY opportunity to make it better. And he just keeps behaving like a rabid pig,” she wrote further.
Colleen Hoover’s response
Hoover’s response to the text messages was in agreement of Lively. She wrote “Exactly. I think as women and mothers we’re taught to give grace until there’s nothing left of us, but in times like these sometimes it’s good to be reminded that grace is wonderful until it compromises your integrity.”She further responded by saying that he (Baldoni) does not feel guilty about anything. She added that he has been busy playing the victim card throughout the whole situation. The official trail is set to be held sometime in May 2026.Disclaimer: The information in this report is based on a legal hearing as reported by a third-party source.
