The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced that today is the last date to apply for Police Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector recruitment for the 2025 cycle.The recruitment drive covers SI Confidential and ASI Clerk and Accounts posts, offering 537 vacancies, with online applications accepted through the official portal uppbpb.gov.in.Application timeline and notification detailsThe official notification for UPPRPB Police SI and ASI Recruitment 2025–26 was released on December 20, 2025. The online application process began on the same day and remains open until January 19, 2026. The examination date will be announced separately by the board.Candidates must complete registration, fee payment, and form submission within the prescribed deadline. Applications submitted after the closing time will not be considered.Vacancy details and eligibility criteriaThe recruitment opened for 112 vacancies of SI Confidential, 311 for ASI Clerk, and 114 for ASI Accounts. Candidates applying for the post of SI Confidential have to hold a graduate degree with stenography, typing skills, and an O Level computer course.In case of the posts of ASI Clerk, the applicants will have to be Graduation passed, typing proficient, and O Level computer qualified. ASI Accounts applicants must possess a B.Com degree or a diploma or degree in commerce, along with typing skills and an O Level computer course.Age limit and application fee structureApplicants must be between 21 and 28 years of age. The cut-off date for age calculation is July 01, 2025. Age relaxation applies according to existing government rules.The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS categories is Rs. 500, while SC and ST candidates need to pay Rs. 400. All payments must be made through online mode only.Selection process and examination stagesThe selection process consists of a written examination followed by the Physical Standards Test. The candidates who qualify will appear for a typing test/stenography test/skill test, whichever is applicable, for the post applied.Verification of documents and medical check-up are the last steps in the selection process. In this case, the board asks applicants to prepare all original documents in advance for verification.The candidates should, therefore, go through the eligibility conditions, check the accuracy of details, and retain copies of the submitted forms, fee receipts, and acknowledgments for reference during the subsequent stages of recruitment, to be announced shortly by UPPRPB authorities.
