The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will open the application window for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 on January 17. Candidates who wish to apply can complete the registration process through the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.KCET, also known as the Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET), is conducted for admission to various professional undergraduate courses in Karnataka.
Documents needed for KCET 2026 registration
Before starting the application, candidates should keep the following documents ready:
- SSLC or Class 10 mark sheet
- Aadhaar Card
- Student’s mobile number with WhatsApp access
- Valid email address
- Scanned photograph in the prescribed format
- Scanned signature in the prescribed format
All details entered during registration should match the information given in the original documents.
KCET 2026 application fee
The application fee for KCET 2026 is as follows:
- General category candidates: Rs 500
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates: Rs 250
- Candidates from outside Karnataka: Rs 750
- Candidates from abroad: Rs 5,000
The fee must be paid within the deadline.
KCET 2026 exam dates and schedule
KCET 2026 will be conducted on April 23 and April 24.
- April 23, 2026: Physics and Chemistry
- April 24, 2026: Mathematics and Biology
The examination will be held in two shifts each day:
- Morning shift: 10.30 am to 11.50 am
- Afternoon shift: 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm
Each paper will be conducted for a duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be held on April 22, 2026, only at centres in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru districts.
