NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Wednesday reiterated its plan to hold a march in Delhi on September 5, saying three of the four demands that led it to call off its protest on July 25 were still pending.In a post on X, the party said it had withdrawn the protest a month ago after receiving assurances that all four demands would be met.It said the pending demands were compensation for the families of students, withdrawal of FIRs and no action against student protesters, and an apology from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police.“Everything will be remembered” the party said in its post, while referring to its archive titled “Black Monday Record”, which it said documents the crackdown on protesters, including the use of lathis, tear gas and pellet guns and alleged assaults by unbadged personnel.CJP also said the archive records 11 unanswered questions that it has raised as part of its demand for accountability.“With each passing day, these questions become harder to ignore and the demand for answers grows stronger,” the party said.
CJP plans India Gate to Police HQ march on September 5
CJP had announced its September 5 mobilisation earlier, saying the march would begin at India Gate and proceed towards the New Delhi Police Headquarters.The organisation said the march would be led by families of deceased NEET victims and victims of alleged police brutality, with students, youth organisations and young citizens expected to join.CJP had said the decision to resume mobilisation followed a review of the commitments it alleged were made by the government on July 25, after which it withdrew its nationwide student protest.The organisation had also alleged that the government was delaying action on its assurances, particularly on the withdrawal of FIRs against students and protesters.It referred to Supreme Court proceedings in which, according to CJP, the court on August 18 sought a list of FIRs registered across the country so that it could consider dealing with them together.The group had said it withdrew its protest in good faith after talks with Union ministers J P Nadda and Jitendra Singh on July 25. It had then said the government had accepted its demands, including compensation for families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide and withdrawal of FIRs against protesters.

Ranka warns of ‘Cockroaches’ ahead of September 5
Responding to Wednesday’s CJP post, one of the party’s spokespersons, Ashutosh Ranka, wrote on X, “We will not hold back. You might have the govt, the country is ours. Keep your words. Accept our demands. Or this Sept 5, be ready for Cockroaches!”CJP had described the September 5 mobilisation as a peaceful protest march and urged students, youth organisations and young citizens to gather at India Gate.The organisation had earlier led a 37-day protest at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, alongside activist Sonam Wangchuk’s 26-day hunger strike.On July 25, CJP said it had called off the protest following talks with the government and asked protesters to return home peacefully.
