The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the application deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) Class 6 admission 2027-28. Students can now submit their applications till August 10, 2026, through the official NVS website at navodaya.gov.in.The registration process for JNVST Class 6 admission started on July 6, 2026. The selection test for admission to Class 6 in summer-bound and winter-bound Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas will be conducted on November 28, 2026.After the registration window closes, the correction facility will be available from August 11 to August 12, 2026. Candidates should check all details carefully before submitting their forms.

JNVST Class 6 admission 2027-28: How to apply

Students can follow these steps to complete the JNVST Class 6 application process:

  1. Visit the official NVS website at navodaya.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the ‘Apply for Class VI JNVST-2027’ link.
  3. Click on ‘Click here for Registration for Class VI JNVST (2027-28)’.
  4. Fill in the required details and complete the application form.
  5. Upload the required documents and submit the form.
  6. Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.

JNVST Class 6 admission 2027: Exam date and result

The JNVST Class 6 selection test 2027 for summer-bound and winter-bound schools will be held on November 28, 2026.The result is expected to be announced in March or April 2027. Candidates will be able to check their scorecards through the official NVS website using their roll numbers.

JNVST Class 6 exam pattern 2027

The JNVST Class 6 question paper will carry a total of 100 marks and will have 80 questions. Students will get two hours to complete the examination.The paper will be divided into three sections:

  • Mental Ability Test: 40 questions carrying 50 marks. Students will get 60 minutes for this section.
  • Arithmetic Test: 20 questions carrying 25 marks. The duration will be 30 minutes.
  • Language Test: 20 questions carrying 25 marks. Students will get 30 minutes.

Students applying for JNVST Class 6 admission should complete their applications before the August 10 deadline and keep a copy of the submitted form for future reference.
