BENGALURU: A woman in Bengaluru has alleged that a delivery agent forced his way into her flat after she repeatedly refused to let him in, before allegedly exposing himself inside her home.In a post shared on social media, the woman said the delivery agent arrived to deliver a parcel and then asked if he could use her toilet. She claimed she refused his request several times, but he entered her flat without her consent.She alleged that after coming out of the washroom, the man exposed himself to her.“When he came out of the washroom, he exposed himself to me. I felt shocked, violated, humiliated and completely unsafe in my own home,” she wrote.The woman said she had made it clear that she does not allow strangers into her home and had suggested that he ask neighbours for help instead.“I refused several times and clearly told him that I do not allow strangers inside my flat. I even suggested that he ask the male neighbours next door since it was an emergency. Despite my repeated refusals, he removed his slippers and walked into my home without my permission,” she said.She added that a simple refusal should have ended the matter.“‘No’ should have been the end of the conversation. No one has the right to ignore someone’s boundaries or enter their home without permission,” she wrote.Describing the incident, the woman said she feared for her safety throughout.“I was terrified. I switched on my phone camera, kept my front door open and stood near the entrance because I was afraid that if anything happened, I could run outside and call for help. We hear about crimes against women every day, and in that moment, I feared becoming another victim,” she said.The woman said the incident left her traumatised and feeling unsafe in her own home.Further details are awaited.
