The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has revised the schedule for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination scheduled for May 2026. The decision has been taken due to unavoidable reasons, as stated in an official notification.As per the revised announcement, the CA Intermediate exams will now commence from May 5, 2026, instead of the earlier scheduled date of May 3, 2026. The examinations will continue to be held in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) across India and at overseas centres.
Revised CA Intermediate May 2026 exam schedule
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the revised schedule for the CA Intermediate May 2026 examinations. The exams will be conducted as per the existing syllabus notified under Regulation 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.Group I examinations will be conducted on May 5, May 7, and May 9, 2026, while Group II examinations are scheduled for May 11, May 13, and May 15, 2026. All examinations will be held in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).
No change in Foundation, Final exams
ICAI has clarified that the rescheduling applies only to the Intermediate examination. The schedule for other exams, including:
- CA Foundation
- CA Final
- Post Qualification Course (PQC – INTT AT)
will remain unchanged as per the earlier notification issued on December 12, 2025.Candidates appearing for the CA Intermediate May 2026 exams are advised to regularly check the official ICAI website for further updates and announcements.
