According to reports, the results are likely to be announced in offline mode. The students can collect the marksheets from the respective schools. The PSEB Class 5th exams were held between March 6 and 12, 2026.

Strong trends in the results continue

The PSEB Class 5th results have seen strong trends in the past few years. In the results announced in the academic year 2024, the overall passing percentage was recorded at 99.84%. The girls’ results were slightly better than the boys. More than 550 students secured the full marks. The results were better in the districts of Pathankot and lower in Mohali. In 2025, over 3 lakh students appeared for the Class 5 examination, with approximately 2.99 lakh clearing it. Both government and private schools reported pass percentages above 99%, reflecting stable academic outcomes across the state.

Grading system remains structured

PSEB follows a defined grading framework based on percentage scores:

  • 91–100: A+
  • 81–90: A
  • 71–80: B+
  • 61–70: B
  • 51–60: C+
  • 41–50: C
  • 40 and below: D

The PSEB Class 5 result would also contribute to the identification of students who may require academic support at an early stage, which could be addressed by the concerned school itself. It is also possible that in some cases, detailed assessment sheets could be provided to students along with their marksheets to get a better understanding of the students. Moreover, as the PSEB Class 5 result is declared offline, students are advised to get in touch with the school authorities to get updates on the distribution of the result.
