Important exam dates
For the Junior Engineer (JE) 2025 (Paper II) exam:
- Exam date: April 7, 2026
- Exam city details available from: March 27, 2026
- Admit card release date: April 4, 2026
For the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 10+2 Tier II exam:
- Exam date: April 10, 2026
- Exam city details available from: April 1, 2026
- Admit card release date: April 7, 2026

Important instructions for candidates
The commission has also shared details about the “own scribe” facility. Candidates who wish to use a scribe must register for it again on the SSC website, even if they had selected this option earlier.This registration is mandatory for all candidates who plan to use a scribe during the exam. Candidates who successfully complete the scribe registration process will receive a separate scribe entry pass, according to the official notice.For candidates appearing in both JE and CHSL exams, they must complete the scribe registration again between April 1 and April 5, 2026, if required.
